Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Kalimi LLC (“CherryMail”, “we”, “us”), 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, collects and uses personal information when you use cherrymail.net and our email hosting services.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, recovery email, billing address and payment details (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).

Email content: messages, attachments, contacts and folders stored in your mailboxes. We store this only to provide the service.

Technical data: IP addresses, login times, device and client information, and mail delivery logs, used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

We use your information to deliver and store your email, process payments, provide support, protect accounts against spam, malware and unauthorized access, and meet legal obligations. We do not read your email for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Where data is stored

You choose an EU or US data region when you create your account. Mailbox content stays in that region. Some account and billing data may be processed in the United States by Kalimi LLC and its service providers.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run CherryMail (hosting, payments, customer support tools), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law. We review legal requests carefully and notify affected customers where permitted.

5. Retention

Mail is kept until you delete it or close your account. After closure, data is deleted within 30 days, and removed from backups within a further 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@cherrymail.net and we'll respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted backups, two-factor authentication options and access controls for staff. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify you of any breach that affects your data as required by law.

8. Children

CherryMail is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We'll post updates here and email account holders about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
